Adult Sunday School

These classes for adults meet on Sunday mornings 9:45 - 10:45. You do not need to be a member of Berkmar to visit or join a Sunday School class. Please come join us for meaningful study of God's Word and warm fellowship.


Believers - large discussion class with members aging in their 30s through 40s. Leader: Robin Forbes. Class location: F-100 - the Fellowship Hall.

Emmaus - Bible study class using lessons from many sources. The class is singles and couples of various ages from late 20s to 50s. Each class starts with a sharing time, followed by Scripture and open discussion. Leader: Tim Schuett. Class location: W-220.

Fisherman - small discussion style Bible study class of older adults of all ages. Class material is the International Lesson Series. Leader: four teachers rotate. Class location: W-222.

Lamplighters - lively discussion class with members from 40s to 70s. Usually studies books of the Bible. Leader: Nancy Warren. Class location: W-222.

New Horizons - small discussion group for singles and couples in their 20s through 40s. They use study guides and videos to help apply Christian principles to daily life. Leader: John Burgess. Class location: W-115.

Open Door - an open door discussion class for all ages of adults. (current members 30s to 70s) Class material are Biblically based life application lessons. We rotate multiple teachers. Leader: Gail Mosby. Class location: W-221.

Seekers - lively discussion class for adults over 50, singles and couples. Class material is books of the Bible and teaching is shared by class volunteers. Leader: Sally Baker. Class location: W-125.

SOS, ETC. - Class started as Singles on Sunday (SOS), but now includes couples also (hence ETC.). Age group covers 30s through 80s. Class materials include a combination of Bible and life application studies. Leader: Sandy Preas. Class location: W-116.
